Part of Me is a photographic series that explores the cultural dynamics of my interracial adoption in an effort to connect with my Chinese heritage. Personal records, family photos, and Gotcha-Day gifts are contextualized into delicate cyanotypes, toned in green tea and printed on calligraphy paper. Such memories and artifacts make up an ambivalent connection to my birthplace that is only partially known.
