This photograph was taken in the Sahrawi refugee camps, in one of the most inhospitable areas on the planet, the Hamada in the Sahara. It shows the contrasts of Sahrawi childhood in a symbolic way through image and context, humanitarian aid, reality and Sahrawi ingenuity. The boy poses in front of a light pole that is nothing more than the chassis of a recycled truck. This photograph is part of a solidarity project, where half of the profits from possible prizes and sales will go to humanitarian aid, and the other half to finance new artistic projects of cooperation and development.
