The human desire for
ornamentation in this pool gains, ironically, an interpretation of time. The
tiles blackened by dirt draw a geometric shape, which contrasts with the
pretension of austerity of white. In the background, the dirty slope ensures
the abandonment of that space, making the accuracy of the dust’s demarcation on
the tiles above even more curious. The modern desire to clean the ornamental
forms is questioned by the action of time. The pool, split between the depth
planes, exalts the geometrization of the environment.
