Morpho_50x is one of my ultra-high-resolution
photos set together from more than 10.000 single shots through the microscope. It
is an example for digitalization in art. I do not have an assistant but build
several robots that help me taking such photos. It is a sustainable process
because the robots are built from 1st generation DNA-Sequencers
which 10 to 15 years ago cost more than $100.000.-, but now are available for a
few thousand. It is high level recycling and the creation of robotic assistants.
These technological assistants help to reassemble nature or natural parts to
conserve the information about them.
It is the very last one of this wonderful Edition! Please also see the small installation view from one if its exhibitions. It was the time when the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (Austrian Federal Bank) has bought it for their collection.
