Microwave City / The Clouds Series

Exploring the Los Alamos Scientific Labs photographic archive I was stunned by the controversial beauty of the atomic explosions and I’ve appropriated and manipulated them producing harmless fluffy, mysterious clouds floating in the sky. The bomb is there but is camouflaged, it’s hidden by the mystifying power of photography. Microwave City is a invitation to considerate the potentialities of the photographic medium, an invitation to contaminate our vision, to explore with a new gaze.
