Let's consider what is on the canvas; the beautiful golden hands attached attention.The arm and the adult hand dominate the scene and the center of the artwork creating a balance in the composition, it gives the sensation of coming out of the canvas.The child's hand linked with the adult hand creates a sense of harmony and protection.
The work is dominated by pastels, subdued colors. Mostly green, light brown, gold and yellow. Peace and serenity emanates from the composition, the bodies give the sensation of a protective connection. The harmony of the atmosphere, is interrupted by the fluttering of a hummingbird; that enters the scene to take the nectar of a flower tattooed on the arm of the adult in a mellifluous interrelation.
It should be noted that, the photograph was taken at the time of great flow of migration in the world, the movement of populations is a concern of the world’s governments nowadays. Holding the hand of the other is an intrinsic message of empathy. In fact, this work was part of the art-exhibition that took place in Rome and Monterotondo, entitled “Mi Riconosco”
The artwork is developed on 80 by 120 cm canvas; in a interdisciplinary synergy between photographer Marco and the painter Judith.
