I am impassioned and bewildered by the vital depths, by dreams and the transcendental, and by the overall oceanic potential of one’s relationship with oneself, and the world. To me, everything is a mystery – ourselves, and all things both simple and humble. Beyond the thin film of false reality which we live in, there exists another, more subtle reality: the “miraculous”. Invoking Thoreau's dictum that "it is not what you look at that matters, it's what you see", these delicate analog photographs are an attempt at chronicling my intimate exploration of this mystery during one hundred and twenty-one days spent in complete solitude and silence in a cabin in the Swiss Alps in the Winter 2018/2019.
