THE STORY:
Calm autumn
landscape of the fairytale macro world of northern nature.
What do you see here?
I can see here a fisherman and the calm surface of the lake… the sky is reflected in the water and it gives the feeling that sky is everywhere, or even that it is somewhere in the sky, in the clouds… in the dreamworld…
But actually, it is the photo of Cladonia lichens in the moss on the frame of our old greenhouse… (we live at the edge of the forest). But somehow the mind transforms a tiny moss into a fishing rod and a Cladonia lichen becomes a fisherman who leaned over the surface of the lake quietly waiting...
It is how imagination works, connecting everything with everything, creating stories based on a very small detail, that just reminds something. It builds metaphors and helps us to see the world around us in another way, like reimagining, helping us to understand it deeper.
Looking after nature through the macro lens of the camera I like to observe how my fantasy works, and what stories it captures - stories told by nature in the visual language.
