EGO
No more psychology.
photography
85x30 cm (series)
EGO is a visual answer to everyday "clashes" against ideas of what we are given bv psychology and psychoanalysis in imagining ourselves. For me, "ego" is the defining notion; even though it is hidden, it becomes a spine of all
actions and decisions. At the same time, it is a piece on consciousness founded
by psychology, and about destroying forces of this field (reference to
psychological advices in pop magazines and fiction, how to live your life? What to do better?, what to do with your life?.) It is an overwhelming and
impossible set of suggestions and advices.
The piece
has two editions; the black-and-white one is complemented by a quote of Franz
Kafka: "No more psychology"
(17x 30 cm, black and white printout, single piece)
