In the year of Dante Alighieri, a project that stems from the idea of creating a series of evocative images of Dante's infernal atmosphere, images linked to an unconventional interpretation of dance, which breaks with the traditional and stereotyped vision, flowing into abstraction.
Pictures of a surreal dance, a journey of the soul, inspired by the Inferno canticles of the Supreme Poet. An ethereal atmosphere of floating bodies that wants to generate astonishment, the childish wonder of those who see something they do not understand, that does not follow the laws of physics experienced in everyday life. The perfect geometries are intended to nourish this magic, creating paintings that are visionary but, at the same time, harmonious, not at all confused.
The souls of Hell do not weigh but hover, guarding memories, visions and past desires. Figures and ideas that Dante recounts in the Divine Comedy move through space without weight in an immaterial path.
The use of tableaux vivants, starting from absolutely real elements and arriving at surreal images, becomes the means to evoke suggestions, involving and surprising the viewer.
