This photograph is a vain attempt to make a drawing disappear in a landscape. A reflection on perception and the relationship between drawing and landscape. A site-specific drawing.
In the new year of 2014 I visited Moscow. There I found a striking birch forest about 40 minutes from the centre. I bought paper and Indian ink. I unfolded the paper between the trees and drew what was behind it, looking for a match between the drawing and the landscape behind it.
