Apparition photography that combines
installation with the craftsmanship of painting and engraving.
My photographic work attempts to
express contemporary psychic life. To create images that have the evocative
power of visions.
It attempts to express metaphorically
the trials and the essential questions that affect the human being: love,
death, the divine.
They are images attempting to bridge
the messy and fortuitous reality of man and the world of beauty that is beyond
what our senses can perceive.
I seek to federate realities of
different significance or meaning: mixing personal references with collective
and historical references (artistic, poetic and philosophical), in order to
invite the imagination to rush into the meanders of the open visions of the
unconscious.
To reveal, to save from
oblivion and to usefully connect that which wanders and dissolves.
Interior landscapes somewhere
between dismay and melancholy, between constellation and abstraction as a way
of mapping and crystallizing the enigma of human existence.
