"And the void... how much space can it fill? How heavy is the absence?"
Sometimes, the lack carries a weight greater than presence. This photo was taken inside a submarine. It's the torpedo tube where war missiles were inserted. There's no missile, but it tells us about the consequences that launch could have had. Throughout history, we wage war for various reasons, but the principle remains the same: supremacy.
And the result? People die. Lives hanging by a thread. Just dots in the universe, but for those who loved them, a tremendous and overwhelming absence. There is no justice in war. So, where is justice found? Who will judge us in its name?
Here, in this picture, more dots, or rather stars, forming a constellation - the Libra. The ancient Egyptians used it as the final judge of their actions to determine who was worthy of entering the Fields of Reeds, or who had a heart heavier than a feather. The same scales held by Themis, the goddess of justice, who weighed good and evil above men. Unfortunately, today, when I look around, I see only a substantial absence.
