The strong posture of the guy strikes me first. We are not supposed to be static like that in the middle of a void. Maybe his devices help him or need him to be stalled. Looking for the perfect song? He is absorbed by the process of tuning his device while showing a simulacrum of presence.
work in highly urbanized environments. It's a way for me to observe our
strategies to exist in those impersonal and cold universes. Our gait,
postures, and clothing choices reveal our relationship to the modern
world and its architecture.
Large white flat areas allow me to
literally extract people from their world while maintaining this link
that structures our appearance and behavior.
