AIR
(Conceptual text by Claudia Achilli)
Go back to me.
Go back to when your breath was mine.
To when my every breath was for you.
Go back to when my body was your shelter.
Return to that grace, to that beatitude, to that full silence,
to that tight lacing with my flesh.
Go back inside that the air outside is unbreathable
and I no longer know how to protect you.
Return to that liquid world of peace and breath.
It goes back inside my heartbeat, to when I danced inside.
And in the time you are there I will try to rewrite this world, to
erase its distortions, to throw away the pettiness,
to shelter the sunsets, kindness, good bread and fresh water.
So that you can be reborn one day
and finally dance under a clear sky
and smell the strong smell of freedom.
