A
circle.
A
performer* finds herself in the middle of an orbiting system. A camera moves on
circular tracks. It is directed at the performer*. The performer* looks at a
screen that shows a model of herself* at the time of the performance.
The
performer* looks at herself (from inside). The model of the performer* is
created (from the outside) from the perspective of the viewer.
General description of the exhibition:
“studies
on the universalism. modèles” deals with the positioning of individuals in
ongoing processes.
Arrangements
in a system are identified,
located,
displayed.
The
free (non-free) subject finds its place/places in socially created structures.
The
perspective on the subject/the respective subjects will vary. The performer*
sees herself as an object assembled from data, as a parallel figure of herself.
“Modèles”
experiments with arrangements / forms / connections / structures / entire
systems taken up personally.
As
another study of “studies on the universalism” it shows another failure of a
universalism. Universalism in this context means the consideration of a whole
according to uniform standards. This has resulted in a uniform validity and
application of rights, duties, privileges and conditions, among other things.
