The symbol of stability and protection that the
room represents becomes unstable, fragile, in constant metamorphosis.
Realized through a life-size transparent polyvinyl chloride model,
my itinerant "inflatable room" moves its strangeness around in natural or urban universes. I silently lie
down in this bubble, as intimate as deceptive, then get up from the
collapsing bed. Each time, as
if in the enigma of a dream, the room disintegrates in a ghostly way
through invisible pipes, leaving a disturbing impression of a lack of
landmarks and an impossible refuge.
My room is limited, beautiful, and uncertain like a lie.
