Inspired by the 2015 European Migrant Crisis, ‘Journey to the Promised Land,’ challenges viewers to either aid the performer or watch them struggle.
The live viewing will show the performer entering into a milk bath with background audio. Surrounded by pots of honey or towels, the audience is invited to interact by either pouring on the honey or wiping it off/preventing it.

The thing you desire so much, in the end, smothers you with the costs of having it. These costs contradict in manner: for freedom, you must struggle, for peace, you must fight, for safety, you must endure pain and for a new life there is many a sacrifice. This piece is a symbolic echo of the many voices each day attempting to find a new home, a better life, a promised land.
