Echo (Woman, Life, Freedom)" is the name of a project born after the Iranian protesters' movement against the dictatorship of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The slogan "Woman, Life, Freedom" is a chant adopted by fearless Iranian youth from the voice of Kurdish protesters. Taher Nikkhah Abiyaneh, as an Iranian immigrant artist residing in Italy during the Women's Life Freedom protest movement, witnessed that many non-Iranians living in Italy, both Italians and foreigners, believed that the demand of the Iranian people is a human rights issue and has a global approach. They suggested that their compatriots take inspiration from this slogan and make it the cornerstone of their work. As a result, one year after the start of the movement, we see that the slogan "Woman, Life, Freedom" has found resonance in various parts of the world.
The artist of this work projects various videos of Iranian people's protests onto a small panel made of small mirrors shaped in geometrical forms inspired by Iranian patterns. Using this method, the images break and scatter, and their reflections travel to different points in the exhibition space like echos.
Taher Nikkhah believes that the voice of Iranian women's freedom will not be silenced. Instead, their movement will inspire other people around the world to reach a moment where the feminine perspective will make the world better and more beautiful
