Being the remake of the work "Saudade", "Duelo" seeks to fuse through contemporary dance an inert material (clay powder) and a person, thus making participate to the material without life of living art called "performance". Through this fusion between inert material (taken as an allegory of death) and living art I intend to approach the feeling that leaves the death of a person occupying as a basis the 5 phases of the duel (KüblerRoss theory).
Without need of words, like the instrumental that accompanies it from the contemporary dance, fused with something inert that helps to appreciate its reading, the clay powder; this lets glimpse the trace of the movements that is a path that the dancer travels, She’s lost, confused, sad, but mostly full of despair. This composition recounts the protagonist’s constant retreat with her intention of finding a solution, she does not know what to do, the situation overwhelms her, she feels an anguish that hurts her in the depths of her being, an injustice without culprits.
