Distance, performance, duration undetermined
Each person has one’s own territory. Some parts of it is shared, but no territories are fully coincided. It creates an irreducible distance between each of us. However, due to the invisibility and the secrecy of those territories, we easily overlook the difference between each individual that can bring any misunderstandings. When each territory is identified with the self, the ‘misunderstood self’ becomes deeply wounded. How can we avoid this identification and misunderstanding? Would it be easier to empathise with the others if we were able to see and feel the territories of the others?
