"Another deep research, beyond the materials, is in the question of color as a natural element, a dye and its wide possibility of chromatic variations and of shades, used in the different surfaces of the materials. In this aspect, the series gains a color as an element of language, due to the proximity of their contrasts, which are explored by Luciano with emphasis to the construction of the unit of the work, using the color also as an expressive protagonist.
With the color in the construction of the works, there appears also a deep reflection of it use with the surfaces, that protagonize also the construction of the unit, causing a sensation of skin, due to the large integration among these elements. Color and surfaces
create our tactile sensation, expressing another item in the perception of the works that have as target the sensorial awakening, either musical, or covering us with the sensation of proximity of a direct contact.
To explore the dye color is not an easy job, especially with vegetables and minerals, for it requires a large technical knowledge, but the most surprising are the solutions created by Luciano, using it in different surfaces, considering the aesthetical needs of the composition as a whole, strengthening its sense of unit in the space. Among the colors, the red stands out in most of the sets of the series, with its magic capacity to centralize the view, within levels that many times are out of the foreseeable center and in others as creative of movements.
The use of different colors appears with the colorist thinking and concern – challenge – of the artist, in order to achieve a possible wide affecting work and diversification of the specter of colors with formal permanent characteristics of the series".
