I like to depict a subject repeatedly to achieve the power of scale and beauty of repetition. Sometimes it shows an oppressive nature of order and homogeneity when the subject is grouped people doing the same thing. <Worship> is a work that portrays such homogeneity. Three people, or maybe more beyond the canvas, bend over in front of a human-like statue. The high consistency of their gestures seems to prove devotion, while the amusing look of the raised buttocks gives out the deeper ignorance.
