White Gold, Triptyque (White Gold, Triptych)
White Gold, Triptyque evokes the soilless cultivation of a source of life, a source of sustenance.
This multitude of fine filaments, resembling Mycelium, represents the proliferation of microorganisms, necessary for the rebirth and development of nourishing Life.
This artwork is composed of recycled paper pulp, Kozo fibers, and pins.
The Kozo fiber (white) symbolizes the living, the recycled paper pulp (gray) represents the matrix, the pins embody human action.
The use of paper material allows me to work on the perception of the density of the artwork but also to create metaphors around the regenerative power of Life. The three panels consist of a pattern of small blocks that appear to be made of concrete, suggesting to the observer a dense and inert matrix. And the use of Kozo fiber, in the form of fine filaments, evokes exploration, growth, nutrition, and the fragility of living things.
The artwork White Gold, Triptyque is the representation of a source of sustenance that manages to grow on an inert framework. A new hope for the exploitation of a food resource.
