The point of departure in my central
body of work is drawing that is somewhere between the line and the stain, in
varying sizes ranging from the intimate to large-scale installations. My work
is a meditative action as the lines and stains are
done all at once simultaneously. That is way I am so influenced by the strokes
of the brush in the Japanese traditional painting. It
is a one-time, instant thing that is done in "one take".
