We Are Not The Same is a
serie of 8 artworks. Each work is size 40 x 50 cm. The work is created when i
found a handfull of tiny little shells on the beach of Costa Rica. I put the
little shells i a jar and could not stop watching them. The variation of color,
shape and structure forced me to look at them over and over again.
However these shells where empt they were once full of life. They all have their own
identity.
How will global warming,
climate change effect those tiny lifes in the ocean? Is the next generation
still able to find shells on shores? Will the mollusks still exist in the future?
This work is made with the cyanotype technique. I used two hands of shells for this artwork (120 tiny shells).
