Figurative element within landscape. Vaste, barren environments, a thread that has run through my work, the relationship between land and man. Machines and devices implemented to exist in such an environment, still in use, or in abandoned disrepair leaving a weathered reminder of this relationship. The age old connection between dry earth, water, the drawing, storing and the carrying of water. Vessels, cisterns, full or empty, buried or in use, creating parallels to the condition of man.
