About the artwork
This artwork is from my Water Reflection series in 2021. It explores the interaction between fashion and the natural element of water, highlighting the interplay between the man-made world and nature. I use orchids as a metaphor, balancing on the water’s surface and interacting with both the water and the dress. This piece marked the beginning of my water-themed exploration. With the other two submitted paintings, you can see how my style has evolved from a more illustrative approach to a more subtle exploration of the topic. It has been a real journey, and I am excited to delve deeper into it.

Alexandra's work specializes in capturing the natural interaction between the female body and ocean wildlife in the element of water. The profound connection between the artist and the sea, as well as marine wildlife oil paintings, is evident in many of her paintings. To her, the sea is a tranquil source of strength that nurtures inner peace while reflecting the diverse states of consciousness in one's life. As she portrays the ocean, ocean-themed figurative oil paintings, and its marine wildlife in their full splendor, she also serves as a deliberate wake-up call for their essential protection. This intention is consistently reflected in her work.
