This work is the result of my most
sincere feelings captured on canvas. A
re ection of a restlessness transformed
into calm and hope. A whole has
several faces, hence the compositions
are presented on several canvases.
The landscapes in this series follow
common lines. They all have water,
reflections of the sky on the earth and
light, not necessarily in very orthodox
tones, because in reality, the motive of
this work is my search for an answer
to the passage into or out of this world.
This unknown is something common
in the human being and that is where
my search began. Of the one piece in
common, of the essence, of the water.
The great religions agree that water is
purifying and is always present when
we arrive or leave.
Water is the keystone of all these pieces. The
light in this paintings is not constant, it does not
have a base source. The shore or islands have no
clear reference to any specific place in this world,
although it is easily recognized as land. But water,
water, is the only constant that I have found
while documenting myself in the interpretations
of different beliefs and religions and that is why I
base my work on it.
Everyone lives and feels the same experience in different ways, therefore this paintings can be rearranged in order to create different landscapes. We can invert the order by creating our own composition we can place them with or without separation, inverted or placed horizontally. The interpretation, as well as the feeling, is free. In this way, my work is not completed until the receiver decides which order they identify the correct interpretation. Linked to this idea the piece has different textures, the canvas can show light colors blazes and at the same time abrupt brushstrokes with un blended colors.
