In this painting Anvor explores color as a personal narrative and as a unifying form of human existence. On the one hand, she accepts the endless multiplicity of meanings a color can have, which resonates with her painting being crowded by faces of characters. At the same time, she tells a very personal story from her life about a color being a reminder of one specific person and a period of her life. This story is encoded in the pattern of the image, making the object simultaneously a mirror for the viewer’s associations and the memory-object of Anvor’s personal story.
