The painting comes from the "nouvelle vague" series, which I have been working on for the last few years. During this time, I reduced the final form - limiting myself to one pure color on clean, primed canvases. Thanks to this, the trace left by a free expressive gesture almost becomes a sign/symbol/letter. The symmetry of the composition alleviates the chaos of traces of expression, opening up a multitude of fields of interpretation to the viewer.
In times of the development of artificial intelligence, which can now create infinite numbers of images, expression, chance and error are becoming the last foothold of humans. The entire series of works "nouvelle vague" focuses on this aspect.
On the other hand, expressive systems of lines and spots, symmetrically reflected, become a very fertile medium for recipients to create an infinite number of images.
