In 2001, inspired by Spatialism, he started to develop his own form of art carving wood panels and playing between sculpture and painting. Soon he turned his art into an “explosive moment” with a strong connection between the creative action and the artwork. This process is a result of a material destruction obtained through subtraction: it allows the work to take on symbolic and metaphorical meanings. Lights and shadows play an essential role since they can change the artwork form completely in its plastic dimension.
