OLISIPO is the name of the city of Lisbon given way back by the Arabs. It was in this city that the weight of the horizon and the flow of water changed my artistic investigation from the metropolitan grid to the land. Piece by piece, a novel sense of rhythms towards nature, ancestry and forces which became meaningful. This new artistic instrument gave sense to confronting the predatory ways in which we have acted in this planet.
Taking the ocean as a mean of communication among us people, as a live memory of our permanence in this planet ever since, is a way to highlight the interconnectivity between humans and non-humans in its fluidity. Preserving one is guaranteeing lifelong perspective for the other. Let's learn more oceanic ways of being together as one.
