This painting is designed to oppose order and disorder, chance and
necessity. On a grid made at randon, shapes that found themselves under
my brush evolve freeely and change color and texture to show the
constant evolution of life and its beauty. This is why this painting can
be understood as different phases made more or less coherent. This is
why the colours may look faded away as if the painting add an history to
show beneath its surface.
My technique, random although
mastered, mainly consists in superimposing paint, pasting papers
randomly found, washing the painting and sometimes waxing or sanding
down it and, finally repeat my work while revealing what lies beneath. I do so until I find balance.
I call this technique « DO/UNDO/REPEAT » through which my paintings can tell a strange story.
