"Two Prostitutes of Mandrione" is a mixed media painting made with liquid
porcelain and acrylic on linen was based on site visits and research
into the Mandrione District of Rome. It was a site-specific painting installation created for a curatorial project called "There is No Place Like Home/Rome", which culminated in a site-specific exhibition in the historic Chinotto Neri factory in Rome. The theme of this painting is aligned with Lundy's artistic
research; commemorating marginalized people and places who have
otherwise been lost in time. Lundy's paintings investigate the places of
memory, and also serve as a metaphor for memories of the past, as well
as respective personal histories lost in time.
