Trugbild Series 10, 14, 17, 18, 24, 31

Trugbild Series consists of six square mixed-media works, each a digital collage printed on watercolour paper, and overpainted with watercolour washes creating unique pieces. Here, "Trugbild" refers to an imaginary place combining two places. Furthermore, the name hints at the fact that they are not real "paintings" but a kind of trick that the artist uses to unite the contrasting places. However, one can still slightly see the border between the two different places through the transparent watercolour what adds another level of interpretation. The individual works are then mounted on small plywood panels (21cm x 21cm) and arranged in a three by two array with gaps of 3-5 centimeters (see image).
