Changing and accepting change is always difficult: internal and external resistances force to keep things as they are because the unknown, or even just uncertainty, it's scary. In response to this induced immobility, the image of a slow but constant motion from darkness to light, hampered by the weight of the mannequin and the density of the water. It’s a vision that arises as symbolic representation of the necessary effort to maintain the intent to improve oneself, by also having to fight against memories and prejudices.
