This is a painting of a former girlfriend, who came to the United States, from Haiti, after the earthquake of 2010. She had struggled growing up, impoverished, with limited opportunities, and eventually, becoming a single mother. Even more unfortunate for her she migrated to South Florida, a land barren of cognitive vibrations and humanity. She worked hard to provide for herself and her child, though the cost of living severed the remaining limbs she had to help herself.
The vase in the painting is me. I can contain water for her to drink, but I am strange...we went our separate way, but I am happy to report that she now lives in Texas with her new husband, and her beautiful new family. She has finally found her Eden.
