The painting’s intention is to explore the thin line between reality and fiction in images we are subjected to.
In 1881 Alfred Southwick conceived the idea of an electric execution inspired from his dental chairs to give dignity and comfort to death.
The painting wants also to question the veracity of everyday images and different levels of meaning in them, casting the doubt of what we see.
