"Test #03" - a triptych consisting of three oil paintings, 120x90 cm each - represents a series I'm working on since 2017: "Tests".
The series refers to original military footage of different armies, documenting new techniques of mass extermination. Some of the material shows progress of developing so called "Firestorms": a compilation of incendiary and blockbusting bombs tested by British Army in 1940ies that led to full destruction of cities like Hamburg, Dresden, Kassel or Tokyo.
The triptych "Test #03" is the 1st Prize Winner of Laguna Art Prize 2019.
