TANGUE
Collages, embroideries, seaweed, marine debris on artisanal seaweed paper made at the museum of mill of “la Sée”, 3 triptych 21x15cm, Corène Caubel, 2022.
This series is a instantaneous of the evolution of practices and landscapes in the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel and more precisely in this intertidal zone where the “TANGUE” (sediment that settles in areas of coastal mudflats) reigns.
These micro-architectures and fishing tools, whether fixed or mobile, vestiges or active, testify to these techniques of fishing on foot, to our relationship to this nourishing sea. What are they telling us? This duality between silting and erosion, modifying the landscapes and resources of the coast. The passion always present of the amateurs of picking with the iodized tastes, sentinels of the oceans.
