"take a look" is about our memories, our inner selves, our deepest sentiments, but also about the connection to the others.
The
work is with layers of paint and collages in transparent papers on canvas.
All layers are put in composition to create a deep sensual
artwork.
The fictif portraits are put in dialog to each other, to create stories that everybody developes in his own mind, but here the upper portrait is installing a connection to the public, a question, a look, to the outside of the frame.
In
my artworks is often an horizon in the backgruoud. This abstract lines,
often in black, gold or red, creates connections from one artwork to
the other, and space behind the portraits, as the landscapes in the old
renaissance art.
