Summer is part of a series of four paintings dedicated to the four seasons.
Resonating the impressionist perception of light and the immediateness of painting the ever-changing perceptions of Nature, its own changes and consistencies, its energy and relentlessness. I explore the essence of the colours and the dynamics of the profound link of the observer and its subject, intrinsic values of the natural elements that touch me very deeply.
This work combines a pure impressionist and a pointillistic eye. Here, I aimed to explore the freshness of summer through mixed cool colours. The subtle insinuation of a watery surface and reflections of light extend the presence of a tree inhabited portion of landscape. Here, Form and volume are hinted, hidden in plain sight, present and fleeing at once.
