Oil pastel of a human size decomposing flower with dragon's head, mined from a1492 manuscript. It faces a lab micro-photo of the first thyroid follicle formed from embryonic stem cells, by Dr.Terry Davies and his Mount Sinai (NYC) lab. The Hebrew “baruch” (praise) emanates from the beast. The creation of the follicle coincided with my treatment by Dr. Davies for a thyroid carcinoma considered untreatable. Mt Sinai Hospital acquired a print of this work to be installed early 2019.
