Watercolour & Gouache. Factory, working class, industrial. Inspired by the deep history of British coal mining and the British steel industry. A world of hard labour. Most if not all collieries have now closed. End of an era. I grew up in a mining village and I remember vividly still seeing the smoke rising and smelling the scent of coal in the air above the houses. History remembered. Inspired by steel cities in England. Also Inspired for my love of Lowry works.
