This is the second of the
nudes with my co-author posing as the model, and for our poetry book Rhapsody and
Redolence: The Crystal Decade. There is a corresponding poem with the same
title. This is a haunting dreamscape of windows letting in the light but just as
much about exile. Divine and erotic love are not separated but come from the
same source—a surrender deeper than memory. Every one of us must surrender even
if only in death. This image is a singular human being kneeling in silence
before all longing beyond vision. he nudity
replicates; the body and legs continue magnified. I place the face beyond the boundary, symbolizing anonymity and of lives crossing boundaries of body and soul.
