These creatures are ghosts coming from the Past, slowly consumed by Time. Pain and
loss turned their beauty into something authentic and real, far from the
superficial world they once belonged to. They are spirits, hence creatures that have already existed in another
form: they do not feel the need of human vacuity anymore, simply because now
they are able to perceive its very essence. Nevertheless, the eternal and immobile Limbo they inhabit is made of
silence and empty spaces: ghosts do not have ears to hear and they have no one
to talk to. Their gaze undisputedly reveals the tedium and the
anguish derived from their urgency to get in touch with the intensity of the
Living. They get in touch with it
through one element: the frames of the very paintings, which symbolize their
window onto the world; a tiny glimmer used to communicate anger, evil,
malice, folly and sadness, all within a foggy and dusky atmosphere. The use of
colours becomes fundamental, thus creating an instant impact.
