The painting Snake refers to the character of the animal itself. It has the connotation of being bad and mean but also holy and healing at the same time. The animal has an important position historically and personifies a kind of ambivalence and insecurity. The painting reminded me on this character as it appears in different ways depending on the angle one looks at it. I made the painting by the end of my time in London, the city itself contains this characteristic for me as well.
