Technical-chromatic research and investigation of the perceptive value of color constitute the foundations of Luca De Marchi's work. The interest in the relationship between light and space allows us to develop a creative path that has its roots in Kandinsky's abstractionism and in Veneto Spatialism, with particular attention to Ennio Finzi’s work and studies on visual perception.
The artist ranges from figurative to abstraction, focusing on possible emotional and psychological conditions that the created image causes on the observer. Particularly in non-figurative works, colors do not relate to any naturalistic reference, enhancing their optical potential in the relationship between stains, signs and shapes.
