The title of the series "Symbiosis" is intended to adjust the viewer's optics when interacting with the work. Symbiosis refers to all types of relationships between organisms in which at least one organism benefits for itself. This concept illustrates the interdependent coexistence of two different environments - natural and man-made. The wilted silhouette of a tree and bare production insides blend into a single mass of lifeless shades of gray. In my work, I draw attention to the problem of excessive consumption of resources, deforestation on an industrial scale.
Mixed media allows me to achieve the contrasting effect. I use different materials depending on the texture specifics of the depicted environment. For example, industrial is a detailed, clear, linear environment. Its materials are markers, ink and spray paint. The photographic precision and graphicity in the depiction of architecture remind me of Venetian vedutas - a genre that inspires me the most. Acrylic with its fillings, textures and watercolor effects allows me to mix these two techniques: scrupulous study and spontaneous, unconscious, random paint application. Thus, creates a completely different form, a different ecosystem, which I try to realistically recreate on canvas.
